Micromax Canvas Tab P650 is the first tablet from company launched with Quad Core Processor. It is also company first tablet in Canvas Series, earlier Micromax Canvas Series Smartphones have been very popular. Canvas Tab P650 is an 8.0 inch display tablet with multi-touch screen and resolution up to 1024 x 768 pixels. Display
As I have mentioned earlier in the starting of the article, Canvas Tab P650 has 8.0 inch display screen with resolution up to 1024 x 768 pixels. This is not a High Definition display screen but resolution is better than the earlier launched tablets from Micromax. You can still get good viewing quality on this tablet.
Processor
It has a 1.2 GHz MT8389 Quad-Core processor from Mediatek. This is the first time company has come up with a quad-core based tablet. This is long jump from Micromax as previous to this, only single core processor tablets are available from Micromax. This tablet will offer good gaming experience.
Operating System
Micromax Canvas Tab P650 runs on Android Jelly Bean Operating System version 4.2.1 out of the box. The tablet has easy and fast to navigate user interface, more intuitive text input and power save management apps.
Memory
Company has left nothing to say that this is not a premium tablet, it has 1 GB DDR3 RAM which is idle for heavy game play. Apart from good RAM and powerful processor, it has 16GB of internal storage memory which is very large and easily store any game data file. The memory is expandable up to 32GB.
Camera
There are DUAL Camera on the tablet, front facing camera is of 2.0 MP which is good and can be used to make video calls from the device. Rear camera is of 5.0 MP and allows HD video recording up to 720p. The primary camera also comes with basic features like autofocus.
Internet and Voice Calling
Every tablet comes with Wi-Fi for internet connection and this tablet also have a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. You can also get high-speed internet via 3G SIM which also supports voice calling from the tablet. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0, GPS /aGPS.
Battery Capacity
It has 4800 mAh battery with up to 5 hours of usage, up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 400 hours standby.
