Xiaomi has recently slashed the price of Redmi 1S device even before launch of the device. Earlier the device was announced for Rs. 6999 but with a week to go before the launch, Xiaomi has slashed the price by Rs. 1000 and now the Redmi 1S device is available for Rs. 5,999 only. Motorola Moto E is priced at Rs. 6999 where Xiaomi Redmi 1S is available for Rs. 5999 which makes it Rs. 1000 cheaper device. Xiaomi Redmi 1S is a cheap device but comes with much better specifications than Motorola Moto E. First major difference in both the devices is Display Screen size and resolution. Motorola Moto E has 4.3 inch qHD(960×540 pixels) screen where Xiaomi Redmi 1S mobile comes with 4.7 inch 720p HD(1280×720 pixels) display screen. Xiaomi Redmi 1S is the cheapest device with 720p HD display screen.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S is powered by 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor which is unbelievable in a 6k device. There is not a single device in this price range that comes with Quad-Core processor from Snapdragon. Motorola Moto E is also powered by Snapdragon processor but it is a Dual-Core clocked at 1.2 GHz.

In terms of storage, Xiaomi Redmi 1S supports 8GB storage and comes with 1GB RAM. Motorola Moto E is also powered by 1GB RAM but comes with 4GB internal storage which sometime looks little low. Xiaomi Redmi 1S Mobile comes with 8MP rear camera and 1.6MP Front facing camera. Rear camera supports flash which allows you to click high quality pictures even in dim light. Motorola Moto E has only 5MP rear camera without any flash and there is no Front facing camera.

There is nothing much difference in battery capacity as both the devices are powered by almost 2000mAh battery.
